Therapies

Traditional Therapies

Therapy is a highly personal choice and is determined by many factors. Here at Colorado Healing Place we are trained in the practice of different therapy models to help clients work through specific areas of change and circumstances. We often utilize an integrative approach (a blend of two or more therapies) tailored for each client. Below is a list of some of the more traditional treatments which may be used as the primary therapy or in conjunction with other techniques.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Additional/ Adjunct Therapies

Many issues and disorders require calming or regulation of the nervous system. These newer, evidenced-based therapies can be helpful because of their experiential nature and calming affect on the nervous system. These techniques can and should be learned and utilized outside of therapy. The techniques in this partial list can be paired with more traditional models or with each other depending on client needs.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP)

Acudetox

Brian Synchronization Therapy (BST)
