Law of Attraction

LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE. Sound familiar? You are right, its the law of attraction! As a mental health therapist, I always encourage my clients to learn how to be more aware/mindful of where their thoughts go throughout the day. Our mind and body are intimately connected, each influencing the other. Therefore, what we think can have either a positive or negative impact on our overall health and wellness. For many people, their thoughts are primarily about what they wish they had or focused on all of the negative things that happen to them. Below are some questions to help guide change.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • Are you living the life you want for yourself?
  • Are relationships satisfying?
  • Is your work or business what you would like it to be?

If the answer is no, ask yourself these questions:

  • Does it feel like trouble or misfortune seem to follow you around?
  • Are relationships difficult?
  • Do you want to feel happy and excited about life and the future
  • Do you want to learn how to feel better?

IT IS POSSIBLE!

One way is to SHIFT your focus and thoughts from what you DON’T have and focus on what you DO have. Most of us can identify blessings if we take the time to look closely. Just look around you. How can you begin THE SHIFT? One way is to increase your awareness around when your thoughts move toward what you don’t have. Instead, commit to noticing and interrupting those negative thoughts and shifting to thoughts of gratitude for what you already have!

How do get more of what you want? REMEMBER, the law of attraction states “like attracts like”. Therefore, if you want more of what you deserve, use your energy and thoughts on what you want and you will begin to attract more of that and less of the things you don’t want.
