Solution Focused Brief Therapy

Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a forward-looking therapy in which the therapist encourages the client to set goals, then helps them develop the skills needed to achieve them. It does not focus on the traumas of the past or on how or why the client arrived at this point in their life. The objective is to get clients moving towards realistic goals as quickly as possible, using effective, action-oriented therapy.
